Received Bachelor of Architecture in 1984 from Texas Tech University and became a licensed architect in 1988. Presently holds a license in the State of Texas and has previously held licenses in Massachusetts and Florida. Maintains a certificate with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards for reciprocal licensure in many states. Spent several years working for architects while in high school in Houston prior to enrollment at Texas Tech. Ultimately began career in 1985 in Austin, Texas working for several large commercial architects and gained a variety of experience, by 1988 had begun to find niche in residential design.
Interest in stock plans rose out of a perceived need to provide low cost quality design to the masses. This venue also presents a freedom to be creative in a way that custom designs for specific clients or builders cannot.
Our designs begin with pure function and grow into something interesting and unique, every design is pushed beyond 100%. We do not recreate the same deign over and over with slight tweaks or throw mud against the wall to see what sticks. We want every design to stand on its own as a unique work of art.
